A large part of the world plum export is carried out from Turkey. Turkey exports an average of 100,000 tons of plums annually. The majority of this export is realized as fresh plums. Turkish plum is known in the world market for its quality, taste and variety.

It is grown in Turkey, especially in the Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean regions. In addition, some varieties are grown in the Eastern Anatolia region. There are three different types or varieties that we export. These include Green Plum, Blackberry Plum, and Japanese Plum are located.
Green plum is grown in Turkey’s Southeastern Anatolia Region, especially in provinces such as Malatya, Elazığ, Adıyaman, and Diyarbakır. Its fruit is large, soft, and sweet. It is generally consumed fresh but is also used to produce products such as jam, marmalade, syrup, and dried fruit. Plums contain high amounts of vitamin C, potassium, and other antioxidants and are essential to a healthy diet.
Blackberry plum is a highly aromatic fruit that combines sweet and sour flavors. This fruit, usually grown as a bush, is mainly used in pastry and jam making.
Blackberry plum cultivation in Turkey is generally done in the Black Sea region. Its cultivation is common, especially in cities such as Ordu, Giresun, and Trabzon. It is also grown by some producers in the Marmara and Aegean regions.
The Japanese plum is a popular fruit known for its sweet and juicy texture, reddish-purple fruit, and a pleasant aroma. It is generally grown in the Black Sea region in Turkey. Its climate and soil structure are ideal for increasing Japanese plums. Local farmers in the Black Sea region grow and market high-quality Japanese plum products. Japanese plum is especially preferred for fresh consumption and jam-making. In addition, Japanese plum exports are also made in Turkey.
