Turkey ranks third in world tomato production. In our country, it is grown in Aegean, Marmara and Mediterranean regions, Central Anatolia and transition regions, for table consumption or for use in industry, depending on the area of use. In addition to the canned food industry, most of it is used in the tomato paste industry. There is a highly developed tomato processing industry in Turkey, and Turkey ranks fourth in the world in tomato paste exports.
